March 2016 www.womanthismonth.com 60 GULF INTERIORS BACK BY DESIGN The island’s biggest interiors event is back at Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in April with more participants and big-name exhibitors lining up to showcase their products. Organised by Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE) and held under the patronage of HRH Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, gulfInteriors Exhibition 2016 is a dedicated showcase of luxury, creative and designer products for the home or commercial space at which participants and visitors can enjoy a range of networking opportunities to develop their creativity and experience the innovative atmosphere. The show takes place from April 26-28 and hosts the leading brands in furnishings and designs from around the region and the world. Kuwaiti Manager Building Materials and Equipment (KMC) recently renewed its strategic sponsorship for the event with Eng Fadi Al Shaikh, the group’s deputy GM, saying: “KMC Building Materials and Equipment is an ISO 9001-certified company built on a mission to provide efficient and elegant designs for our regional and international clients. gulfInteriors is a first-rate platform providing us with the opportunity to promote quality design values and capabilities.” KMC Building Materials represents some of the world’s leading brands in the interiors sector including Babini Spa – office furniture from Italy; Wagner, from Germany; Topstar; LE-AL Executive Office Furniture; Hermann Miller; Steelcase and Kimball; Poltrona Frau; and Humanscale. “KMC’s strategic sponsorship of gulfInteriors provides exciting, innovative products for our visitors from Bahrain and around the GCC,” says HCE managing director, Jubran Abdulrahman. Hempel Paints, one of the world’s leading coatings suppliers, will join KMC Building Materials as a strategic sponsor. A regular exhibitor at the show, Hempel Paints has used the event to launch some of its most innovative products for the world of décor colour and interior design. The company’s list of clientele within Bahrain includes the elite of the industrial sector, such as Bapco, Alba, ASRY and GPIC as well as other companies within the private and government sectors. “The importance of gulfInteriors for us is very much built on the advantage of being able to meet our existing and potential customers as well as to provide a strong brand presence showcase Jubran Abdulrahman signs sponsorship deals with Jamal Matraji and Eng Fadi Al Shaikh to our key targets in the real estate and construction sectors of the Middle East,” says Jamil Matraji of Hempel Paints in Bahrain. “Hempel’s products are manufactured in our factory in Mina Salman, Bahrain. We will be taking the opportunity, as strategic sponsor, to highlight our ‘made local but selling global’ credentials.” “gulfInteriors is a platform for architects, interior designers, importers and dealers to network and market their products,” says Mr Abdulrahman. “The show experiences a unique advantage, compared with other exhibitions in the region, because it takes place along with two other major exhibitions – Gulf Property Show and gulf BID, the only integrated B2B and B2C platforms for the construction, interiors and property sectors in the Northern Gulf.” gulfInteriors 2015 hosted a range of designs and products from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Germany and Italy, among others; taking advantage of 7,200 visitors attending the three shows. Last year’s event was also selected by the Furniture Federation of Italy, FederlegnoArredo, to welcome and introduce trade delegations from five of Italy's leading interior companies to the Bahrain and Saudi markets in which constant developments in the real estate and housing markets increase both consumer and contractor demand in the interiors design industry. “Customising one's space is a timeless trend for people looking to individualise their home and office environment to reflect their personality and lifestyle. Even if some prefer to have a furnished option when buying or renting, they still expect to invest in quality furniture and designs. These interiors brands have the advantage of marketing their products and services through gulfInteriors’ dedicated B2B and B2C showcase,” adds Mr Abdulrahman. Further big-name exhibitors are being confirmed daily, such as Zoffany wallpaper, Mulberry Home and Armani. For further details see www.gulfinteriorsexhibition.com. Call 17 299-123.
