The patient needs a specialised doctor to listen to their concerns and worries and take certain things into consideration and deal with every step with delicacy, ultimately to help the patient have their own offspring. “By the time a couple come to see an IVF specialist, there is a history of unsuccessful attempts at conceiving and maybe even unsuccessful pregnancies, this results in a lot of frustration, sadness and usually some resentment and blame towards the other partner. We also need to take into consideration the effects of pressure from family and friends.
