Celebrated jewellery designer Rona Pfeiffer says the Dutch Caribbean is the place that has had the deepest impact on her and her designs. “The influence travel has on my creations is one that supports the theme of my jewellery and my life — contradiction. I sailed through the Dutch West Indies, a magnificent visual, but listened to Led Zeppelin,” says Rona. This contradiction of senses is the cynosure of her pieces. Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, often referred to as the ABC Islands, lie north of Venezuela, outside the hurricane belt, and boast a wonderful climate.
