Thankfully, we have Juffair Fitness Centre right across the road! 3. Is that Venice? It very well could be. The Amwaj Islands stole our hearts since its inception. For some of us it is home; for others it’s a getaway. Add kitesurfing here it to your bucket list. 4. Long gone Live in the past for a few hours as you admire what lies within Bahrain National Museum. Their monthly exhibitions make it worth the frequent visits. 5. I smell coffee! Our love for Nespresso is no secret. With their best variations of vanilla, chocolate and caramel now added onto their permanent list, there’s no stopping us! Visit their boutique in Bahrain City Centre for a tasting. 6. On pins If you’re stuck for ideas in respect to activities, then you’re forgetting bowling! You could either visit Funland Centre at Marina Bay or any of the Magic Planet outlets; give it a spin! 7. Grocery shopping Love a recipe? Can’t find the ingredients? That’s just impossible in Bahrain. Shop for groceries at Alosra and your checklist will have no missing items! Don’t blame them if you happen to fetch more than planned to. 8. In your eyes The need to protect your eyes cannot be emphasised enough. Optica is one retail outlet that is dedicated to the cause with an eye for style. The collections seem endless. They won us over with the delivery service. 10. Park it The Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Park is one venue that is worth the hype that it brought with it. Your kids will love flying kites there. Make it a weekly event with picnics, friends and family. 11. Pamper yourself Are you the athletic kind? Give it a rest! Try the sports massage at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Spa. The experience is just inexplicable. The venue itself is an escape from the real world, as it should be. 12. Thinking local It’s a shame if you haven’t tried the authentic Bahraini breakfasts yet.
