My journey with Joz Group began long before I officially stepped into a leadership role. Growing up in a family business that pioneered the beauty industry in Bahrain gave me an early appreciation for innovation, legacy and service. What truly drew me in was the vision my grandfather started nine decades ago, creating a beauty brand that elevates women’s confidence, sets global standards and continues to evolve with the times. Joining the company felt natural, but more importantly, it felt purposeful. How would you describe the beauty scene in Bahrain today, and what makes it stand out? Bahrain’s beauty landscape is incredibly vibrant and progressive. What sets it apart is the mix of international expertise and local creativity. Women in Bahrain appreciate excellence, whether that’s world-class stylists, premium products or elevated self-care experiences. It’s a market that is always curious, always evolving and very supportive of innovation. I’m proud that Joz Group has played a role in shaping that growth. As a #mum-preneur, how do you balance growing a brand with raising a family? I believe balance is something we build every day, not something we magically achieve. My role as a mother gives me strength, perspective and purpose. I don’t separate the two worlds, I integrate them. It takes discipline, prioritisation, a supportive family and a lot of love. I want my children to grow up seeing ambition not as a sacrifice, but as a form of legacy. How has Joz Group expanded across the GCC, and which milestones stand out most? Our growth began with a simple belief that Bahrain could lead the region with international standards. Today, we operate across multiple GCC markets with globally recognised brands, alongside distribution, contracting, construction, properties, food and hospitality, and of course our chain of salons and barbershops, most notably bringing the Toni & Guy franchise from the UK to Bahrain. More recently, Joz Group has begun collaborating with Keeta as it enters the Middle East market. Each milestone represents evolution rather than expansion for its own sake. How do you see AI and emerging technologies shaping the future of beauty? Technology is transforming our industry, from diagnostics and personalised consultations to automation, data-driven customer experience and education. AI will make beauty more efficient, more scientific and more personalised. Brands that embrace technology will grow faster, deliver better service and stay closer to the customer. At Joz Group, we are already integrating these tools into training, business operations and the customer journey. What message would you share with young mums and women building their careers or businesses? Don’t wait for the perfect moment to begin. Start, learn, adapt and grow. You’re allowed to dream big and build a family at the same time. Surround yourself with people who believe in your goals, invest in your knowledge and say yes to opportunities even when they feel bigger than you. Women are leaders by nature, we just need to keep reminding ourselves of our own strength. What’s next for you and Joz Group, and what vision keeps you moving forward? Our vision is to expand our legacy while staying true to our roots. We’re focused on regional growth across the GCC, enhancing digital and customer experiences, elevating talent and training, and creating new beauty concepts and solutions. What keeps me moving forward is knowing that we are building something that outlives us, empowering people, creating career paths and redefining beauty standards in our region.
