www.womanthismonth.com showcase January 2016 36 Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or not, healthy living should be at the top of everyone’s wish list. And to guide you on that path is the aim of the 6th Annual Health & Wellness Bahrain Expo 2016. Organised by the Bahrain Exhibition and Conference Authority (BECA), the exhibition will taks place from April 19-21. The event will showcase a variety of live demos for the public as well as help promote local and regional businesses including fitness clubs and spas. “Bahrain is home to a wide variety of businesses involved in the health services segment and we hope the expo will serve as a platform to raise the profile of their brands and to develop new opportunities for revenue growth,” says BECA chief executive officer Hassan Jaffar Mohamed. The healthcare industry in the Kingdom works to the highest and most professional standards in the region, providing an opportunity for consumers to expand their horizons and to see what options are available to them. Likewise, by bringing together professionals globally within the health and wellness market, BECA will utilise the exhibition to promote Bahrain as a regional hub for businesses in this sector. The goal of the Health & Wellness Expo is to increase awareness for the residents of the GCC on how to live a good and healthy way of life. “Our aim is to promote a holistic lifestyle that makes a positive contribution to our day-to-day living,” says Hassan. “By increasing awareness of the opportunities available to consumers, the Health & Wellness Expo seeks to encourage everyone to adopt a healthy life.” Industry professionals, on the other hand, will have business-to-business (B2B) meetings that will serve as a platform to achieve maximum exposure for their brands, offering networking opportunities and increasing revenue. Last year’s international and regional exhibitors included Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, USA, Jordan, India, Thailand, Turkey, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hong Kong, with all kinds of buyers, retailers, importers, exporters, distributors and medical professionals from all sectors. The event has the support of the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Ministry of Health and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
