Face shapes include oval, round, long, square, heart and diamond. To find yours, start by pulling your hair back and, with no makeup on, look closely in the mirror. The features to pay attention to are: forehead, cheekbones, jawline, how your face tapers towards your chin, etc. DETERMINING FACE SHAPE Measure the length of your face with a ruler (as seen in the image, the total length of the face is eight inches). The perfect eyebrow shape is widely considered to be the soft-angled type. This shape goes straight up and then gently curves round at the top and down. According to the salon, the majority of women known for their beauty, with an oval face shape, have had a softangled eyebrow shape. The goal for a round face shape is to make it appear 'less round' by making it appear longer. Apply lines that go more up and down the face. This helps draw the eye in the same manner and lengthens the face. Create as high an arched brow as you can. Look for a brow shape that follows a straight line to the peak of the brow and creates more vertical lines. Stay away from a rounded brow shape. This only accentuates a round face even further. Many customers prefer the soft angled look. Consider also angled brow shapes and higher arches. For those with a heart face shape, soften your look with curves and create a beautiful heart shape using the point of your chin as the bottom and the brows as the top of the heart. Apply rounded brows – the curve of the brow is soft, feminine and attractive and also creates the heart-like look of the face. A low-arch rounded brow creates a natural look, while a high arched brow can add length to a shorter heart-shaped face or create a dramatic look. Soften the angles in your diamond face shape and make the widest portion of the face appear 'less wide'. The curved brow shape does this.
