This inaugural event marked the start of a landmark initiative by Woman This Month magazine to honour women excelling across diverse fields in Bahrain. The magazine unveiled its quarterly special edition with the relaunch message: ‘She’s Back,’ while introducing its new Brand Ambassador, Esky Dubois. The second milestone followed in July with the announcement of the nominations, showcasing the incredible breadth of talent across Bahrain. By the end of September, the excitement reached its peak as the top three nominees in each of the 19 categories were revealed. Following a recorded interview process led by Lini Reghunath and evaluated by the judges, the stage was set for public voting to begin. This phase received an overwhelming response, with nearly 12,600 votes cast – an extraordinary testament to the community’s support. The journey culminated on December 2, following Bahraini Women’s Day, at a glittering gala dinner at The Art Hotel & Resort, Amwaj. The stage was set for a night of celebration, bringing together trailblazers from fields including art, business, science and philanthropy. The event highlighted the achievements of 19 exceptional women, including Safeya Ali Mohamed Kanoo, who received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for her decades-long contributions to Bahrain’s cultural and charitable landscapes.
