Over two decades later, life brought me back to this resilient publication – this time, to help launch something truly special: the Woman of the Year Awards. Last year, it was inspiring and humbling to interview 130 remarkable women from the 414 nominations received, allowing our jury to shortlist the top three in each of our 17 categories. The public voting phase added extra vigour and excitement to the awards, transforming it into a community event. We followed the success of the awards with the launch of the Woman This Month Show, a video podcast series that captured the stories of our winners for posterity.
