The unique and patented seat design has been two years in the making and was launched in March by Qatar Airways at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show. QSuite features the industry’s first-ever double bed available in business class, with privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private bedroom. This first-of-its-kind feature affords passengers more privacy, choice and personalisation, enabling them to enjoy a First Class experience in Business Class. Families, colleagues or friends can work, dine and socialise in their own private setting as it suits their needs, thanks to the adjustable panels and moveable TV monitors on the centre four seats. Additionally, passengers have the choice of making their own cabin-within-a-cabin; creating double QSuites or quadrants. Each seat is crafted with luxurious details such as hand-stitched Italian leather and satin rose-gold finishing, in line with the world-class airline’s luxurious brand and standards of service. On Qatar Airways, the customer can choose to dine, rest and be entertained with Oryx One, its award-winning inflight entertainment platform, as and when they please. The menu options are varied, with something for everyone. In addition to the existing decadent ‘dine on demand’ service, the new One of the world’s most sophisticated airlines has revolutionised the way it serves its premium clientele. A wake-up Express Breakfast will also be available for those who choose to sleep a little longer by making the most of the ‘Do Not Disturb’ option available on the door of their private QSuite. Passengers flying on business class will be treated to exclusively designed cotton sleeper suits from The White Company, and luggage brand Bric’s will provide bespoke new amenity kits containing products from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio. The new QSuite concept will be retrofitted onto the existing Qatar Airways fleet starting from June 2017, at an estimated rate of one aircraft a month.
