www.womanthismonth.com 75 April 2015 BARE FACED The ‘no-make-up’ movement is still strong and the idea of creating a make-up that doesn’t show, but delivers flawless skin, is perfect for summer. To achieve the best results, you must understand your skin and look for a combination of concealer, foundation and powder. This time round, naked skin style comes with a differential, instead of going completely matte, glowing touches are created with illuminating powder. You can wear some mascara, but avoid eye-shadow and lipstick to get the looks of Alberta Ferretti, Chloe and Christopher Kane’s catwalk beauty. FAKING IT This season also revealed a few tricks. Temporary tattoos, spotted on the Tommy Hilfiger catwalk, are a great option for those uncertain of going for a permanent one. You can have them painted on your skin or transferred (just like the kids’ ones). Zac Posen created a wet effect to the hair with a lot of gel (you can also use lacquer) combed back. The same style was also seen at the Versace and Marni shows. Preen went bolder with fake freckles on its models, the make-up looked incredibly natural and extremely cute!
