www.womanthismonth.com 91 October 2014 A Fresh stArt Woman This Month (WTM): What’s new at Bennigan’s? Peter Lyons (PL): We have an effective relaunch of our entire menu; that’s food, beverages, the kids’ menu, promotional activities and a greater focus on giving our guests the 'legendary experience' that Bennigan’s across the globe is fast becoming known for. With the help of our partners, our team has worked hard to bring the food and beverage as close to what you would find in the US as possible. We have added our own Bahraini flair to some of the offerings. We have many new dishes and re-specs of old favourites. A few that tempt your taste buds are the Giant Tower of Onion Rings, the Ultimate Buffalo Chicken Salad and the Chipotle Burger. WTM: How much has changed in the cocktail offerings? PL: We had the same old cocktails that you can find in many other places; so we wanted to set ourselves apart to the extent that we revamped the cocktail offering by 100 per cent. Bennigan’s now offers drinks that you won’t find anywhere else on the island. Mucho Cocktails are these giant cocktails available for BD8; they are great to share and look fantastic. Our popular cocktail towers are perfect for groups. The signature range of drinks has modern twists on classics like the ‘Long Ireland Iced Tea’. These cocktails are going to be a big hit with the ladies. An addition to the mix is the giant Coronarita, a huge margarita and a full bottle of Corona. WTM: What are the new promotions that have been introduced to the venue? PL: Firstly, it was time to offer ‘happy hours’, which will run from 3pm until 7pm, from Sunday to Thursday, and 2pm until 4pm, from Friday and Saturday. The 1 kilogram steak challenge is back. Challengers will receive a T-shirt, a steak knife, 25 per cent voucher and have their photo mounted on our social media wall. A new kids’ menu has hit the restaurant. Our breakfasts are served from 6am every morning with favourites such as pancakes, a breakfast burrito and the full Irish. WTM: Will you host any new theme nights? PL: Every 17th of the month, for the run up to St Patrick’s Day in March, we will hold a ‘St Practice Day’. The team will be in Irish costumes, the band will play Irish hits, the restaurant will be decorated to suit the theme and there will be a host of activities and exclusive offers for the day.
