The Riyadat Fondant Cake Challenge is open to female Bahraini participants from all around the island. The day-long contest will take place in Riyadat on April 19 from 9am until 5pm. Contestants will have to decorate a threelayered cake centred on the theme of weddings. A judging panel of well-established cake decorators will be at hand to select the grand winner. “The event is designed to highlight the hidden talents of Bahraini women. The competition will help publicise their skills and create opportunities for such talented cake decorators,” believes Shatha Aljalahma, senior manager, Riyadat. The day will also feature workshops for cake lovers who dream of becoming entrepreneurs. Led by one of the judges, one session will address the topic of how to start your home business.
