This leads to the development of adhesions and scarring with symptoms varying from painful periods and chronic pelvic pain during bowel movements and urination to infertility and pain during intimacy – which many woman are embarrassed to discuss. The average woman is 27 when she is first diagnosed with endometriosis which is one of the top three causes of female infertility.
