In Her Shoes Favourite scent or smell? Scent – DKNY Be Delicious seems to have stayed with me through time. Smell, I love the smell of fresh coffee first thing in the morning. Favourite band or singer? I love a mixed play list: R&B and especially Latin music are favourites! Love songs by Malouma! Pretty much anything with a great rhythm! Three perfect dinner guests, alive or dead? My three closest friends and possibly Nelson Mandela (having grown up in South Africa). If you were an animal, what would you be? Never really thought about it, most likely a cat because of my nickname ‘Cat’. Folks at Starbucks find this funny come time to order, so I would gravitate towards a more exotic cat like a snow leopard or a jaguar. Three things on your nightstand? Phone. Water. A book I plan to read but rarely get to! What superpower would you like to have? The ability to slow time. My kids are just growing so fast and the young mind is so charming, I don’t want this phase to pass too quickly. Your mum always taught you to? Keep trying when things don’t work out the way you originally envision – her often used the phrase is ‘If at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again’. Apparently my Grandad used to say this. That, and always say ‘Please and Thank You’. On what do you spend the most? COFFEEE!!!!! Starbucks is part of my daily routine. What would be your ideal holiday destination? More than a destination, it’s a place that promises history and intrigue! I’ve loved Rome and Istanbul for those reasons.
