Yem, the therapist, greeted me soon after I’d changed to lead me to the spa area, where I had to fill in a consultation form. The session started with a hot towel pat down, to open the pores, followed by a head massage with Yem using a few drops of hair elixir — a combination of rosemary, aloe vera and peppermint to stimulate hair growth and revitalise damaged locks. On one of my travels, I picked up a head massaging tool to use after stressful days or ease headaches. I was convinced nothing could do a better job – until now! Yem activated pressure points on my scalp that immediately soothed a dull pain that was building up due to driving in the sun. I had requested special attention on my upper back and Yem worked on it expertly easing the knots. The plastic film I was lying on was wrapped around me as the room filled with steam. This was done to out to be a wonderful mini escape from the midweek blues. I was given ginger tea to clear the palate and the digestive system along with a skewer of fruits in the relaxation room.
