Woman This Month - January 2026

25 WOTYA 2025 womanthismonth.com | JANUARY 2026 Winner of the Woman in Fashion & Accessories category at the Woman of the Year Awards 2025, Eman Darwish is a modest fashion innovator redefining contemporary Bahraini style through a brand rooted in identity, culture and empowerment. Her work champions confidence, authenticity and cultural pride, positioning modest fashion as both a personal statement and a serious creative industry. What was a moment during the ceremony that felt most meaningful to you? One of the most meaningful moments was standing just before stepping onto the stage. In that quiet pause, years of hard work came together through uncertainty, learning and persistence. At that moment, I felt more gratitude than celebration. It reminded me that growth often happens long before recognition. Were there any reactions from family, team, or community that surprised you? What surprised me most were the messages from women I had never met. Many shared that this win made them feel encouraged or represented. That reaction stayed with me, because it highlighted how visibility can create reassurance and connection beyond your immediate circle. How has winning informed your priorities or plans since the awards night? Winning encouraged me to be more intentional. It shifted my focus from simply expanding to growing with purpose — protecting the values behind the brand, refining creative direction and making decisions with long-term impact in mind. Coming from Bahrain, this recognition also reinforced the importance of representing our region with authenticity and substance. How will you use the prize, platform, or network that came with this award? I see the platform as a responsibility rather than a spotlight. I hope to use it to highlight craftsmanship, position modest fashion as a serious global category, and encourage meaningful collaboration among women-led brands and creatives in the region. What concrete next steps or milestones are you committing to in the next 12 months? Over the next year, my focus is on strengthening Faith’s creative identity, expanding thoughtfully into new markets, and building systems that support sustainable growth. Collaboration and mentorship are also priorities as part of that journey. What is one piece of advice you would give to young women looking up to you now that you have won? Do not wait until you feel completely ready. Growth comes through action, consistency and learning along the way. Doubt is often part of meaningful progress, not a reason to stop.
