Woman This Month - February 2018

February 2018 www.womanthismonth.com LIFESTYLE | travel 52 WHERE do we start? Not, as one might expect, in Vegas, although that would not be a bad place. But, rather, a New York Public Library wedding is at the top of 2018’s wish list. Just think, you’d exchange your vows in a gorgeous building and there would be so much for your guests, and you, to do afterwards. From the Empire State Building to the Statue of Liberty, there are so many iconic sights to see and visit that it’s hard to know where to start, but there are plenty of guided tours and a hop-onhop-off bus. New York is famous for its shopping and you certainly can’t visit the Big Apple without strolling down Fifth Avenue but make sure you also take in one of the famed flea markets such as Hell’s Kitchen for antiques, vintage clothing and original artwork. And, of course, the food. From hot dogs to Michelin stars, New York has it all. Pay your respects at the 9-11 Memorial. If you visit during winter, there's skating in Central Park. The Staten Island Ferry is another iconic symbol of New York that's not to be missed. The Rockefeller Center is an unmistakeable part of the New York skyline. The recently opened Blue Box Café means you can really have breakfast at Tiffany's. New York Public Library is an absolutely stunning wedding venue that your guests won't forget in a hurry. USA Make sure to take in a show on Broadway - arguably the world's most famous theatre district.
