It is also the trick to make a space interesting and to avoid falling into a décor rut. Whether it is choosing a new shade of paint for the walls or picking out a pair of cushions for the sofa, routinely re-accessorizing with pops of the latest pantone is the key to perpetually fresh and fun indoors. This year, it gets spicy with fiery shades of red. Ranging from fire truck to paprika, this is a bold colour to work with. It works well with hot pinks and intense yellows, in case you want it to blend in with the overall look. You can find more woody and cherry tones, which make for warm, exotic spaces. An eye catcher, the scarlet tint is known to quicken the pulse and amplify energy levels. So if your room is in need of a wake up call, adding a few rubies and garnets should do the trick. Measured doses are advised to steer clear of overdoing the daring trend to an extent that it just looks tacky. Watch out!
