December 2015 www.womanthismonth.com 77 showcase EURO MOTORS A NEW BENCHMARK IN LUXURY AND TECHNOLOGY The latest offering from this reputed marque is aiming to impress with a wide array of glitz and gadgetry. It comes as little surprise that the revamped 7 Series from BMW is making a huge impression with fans and critics alike – thanks in no small part to its plethora of new features and design cues. Although still unmistakably a 7 Series, the 2016 model has undergone a substantial revamp that sees it lighter, longer and smarter than ever. Euro Motors, the dealer in Bahrain, launched the new model during a sophisticated affair at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa during which guests were introduced to the technology that offers both driver and passengers extraordinary levels of comfort and luxury. A host of new BMW ConnectedDrive driver assistance features includes the intuitive Touch Command: a seven inch tablet positioned in the rear of the vehicle, offering passengers a new experience in controlling multiple in-car functions. Through Touch Command, rear passengers are able to control infotainment and comfort features, such as in-seat massage options. A unique Gesture Control function, which offers those inside the vehicle the option to increase the volume of the radio only by gesturing at the screen, is also one of the new technology features. Paul Yates, general manager of Euro Motors, says: “The launch of the new BMW 7 Series in Bahrain marks a new beginning for BMW, with the new model setting a new standard in both luxury and technology. As we continually look to offer our customers the very best in class vehicles, we believe this model will lead the way in the luxury car market. With a host of new technologies and a new design, we are sure it will make an instant impact in the Bahraini market.” Driver and passengers alike can also look forward to the BMW 7 Series’ Sky Lounge, a panorama glass roof that allows them to enjoy the day or star-filled night sky, as illuminated light patterns provide a luxurious interior light ambience in six colours. Proving that personalised innovation is as crucial as design and ambience, the vehicle’s advanced chassis technology, which allows the driver to adjust the car’s set-up to their preferred requirements, creates an ideal balance between sports performance and comfort. Similarly, the vehicle’s progressive assistance systems ensure drivers do not have to change the customary positioning of their hands on the steering wheel in order to undertake on-road manoeuvres. Exuding confidence and power, the new model also comes armed with two comprehensively revised engines: the sixcylinder 740iLi and eight-cylinder 750iLi xDrive, with the latter accelerating from 0–100kmph in 4.4 seconds at 450bhp, and the six-cylinder equivalent offering an impressive 326bhp. Ralf Bissinger, sales and marketing director for BMW Group Middle East says: “The Middle East has played a leading role in the BMW 7 Series success, as the third largest market in the world, the flagship model is constantly among the top sellers accounting for between 16 to 20 per cent of total sales. We believe the new 7 Series will continue this trend, bringing a host of technologies in a new modern design, we are confident it will make a huge impact, especially in markets like Bahrain.” Call 17 750-750.
